There are 3 Goals for Poverty Reduction Week:

1. Raise awareness of the importance of coming together as a community to work towards Reducing Poverty

2. Help raise funds for 6:8's Circles Sauk Prairie Program.

3. Increase local business by getting folks to support local businesses. (We believe we really can't sustainably Reduce Poverty without Strong Businesses.)

The Week is kicked off on Saturday, Jan 27 with Schoepp's Crystal Lake Fisheree and culminates on Sunday, Feb 4 with the SOUPerBowl . And all week long there will be many different businesses and organizations participating with deals and incentives to encourage local business and help raise funds for the Circles Program.

6:8 Circles meets every Monday evening using a wrap-around support system for those working their way out of poverty to reach Financial Stability. We are committed to reducing the Poverty Rate in Sauk Prairie by 10% in the next 10 years!!!

Find a way to get involved:

• Round up at the Register

• Donate 10% for the week or a day in honor of 10% Poverty reduction 

• Reserve a Table at the SOUPer Bowl Fundraiser Event (Click Here)

• Donate in honor of or collecting from our employees (casual Fridays, etc)

• Participate in another way (be creative):

• Listing on the 6:8 Circles Website

• Promotion on the 6:8 Facebook Page

• SP Poverty Reduction Week Promotion through posters and Chamber emails

• Bonham Theatre - 100% of Sour Jacks, Sqworms, Welch's Fruit'N Yogurt Sales and Round-up at the Register (Jan 27 - Feb 4)

• Culver's Sauk City - "Concretes for a Cause" - $1 from each Concrete sold will be donated (Jan 29-Feb4)

• Flaxen Fleece - 100% of a "Sample Sale" - A select variety of baby, children, and Ladies Garments & accessories (items range from $10-$50) (Jan 27 - Feb 4)

• Green Acres - 10% of Sales (Dine-in & Take-out) (Jan 29-31) & a donation box at register.

• John Joseph Coffee - 15% of Sales - (Jan 27 - Feb 4)

• SP Fitness & Nutrition Bar - 10% of Sales (Jan 27-Feb 4)

• Tools of Marketing - TBD

• Vintage Brewing Company - Sauk Prairie - 20% of Sales (Feb 1)

• WCCU Credit Union - Donation to the Circles Program
