True Charity Volunteer Enrichment Event: The Road to Justice Course

6:8 is part of the True Charity Network; a national coalition of churches and nonprofits that serve people in poverty. We feel the weight of poverty around us and all have ideas about how we want to help. But not all of our ideas of helping actually alleviate poverty nor get to the root or ultimate goal of charity, which is for all individuals to flourish.
What is true justice, compassion, and results?
During this course, we'll watch a series of short videos together and discuss reflection questions. We'll encourage each other to process and apply what we learn to our service.

Singing Saturday - Singing in Rounds

Singing rounds - A round is a song where multiple singers sing the same melody, but start at different times. (Think Row, Row, Row Your Boat)
Singing Saturdays - Celebrate the joy of singing with others.
No auditions. No judgment. No need for perfection.
Ages 5-105
2024 Pack Event Dates: October 24-26, 2024.
To reach our goal, we will need to Fund Raise $80,000 & Pack 280,000 meals!!

You will be exposed to the realities of poverty by taking on the identity of a real person living in poverty. Role-play living a month in poverty to maintain your basic needs. Discuss the experience and leave with the challenge of being part of the poverty solution.
